Our Journey to Essential Oils
Diamond R Ranch learned of Essential Oils looking for something to relieve pain in our beloved 17 yr old retired showhorse, Hope. She’s had chronic lameness issues for nearly 10 years and we tried everything the vet and farrier suggested but nothing helped much long term. We tried every kind of shoe imaginable and several drug treatments. She’s had numerous x-rays, and we even did an MRI. At one point she was on the max dose of prescription painkiller daily and it did nothing. We finally found an essential oil based protocol that worked for her she became a new horse. After only 3 months she was sound enough for us to take her to a 5 day advanced riding clinic where we worked on getting a collected canter and flying lead changes. This was something we never thought she would be able to do before the oils.
Our goal is to pass along what we’ve learned about essential oils and how they relate to horse health, appearance, and well-being. Please don’t hesitate to contact us with any questions you have on anything.
